Sleeping on thier own
So since Nathaniel has hit the six month mark I thought it is time to try to get him to sleep on his own. How you ask I have no idea. I am one of those parents that doesnt believe in letting your child cry to sleep, it breaks my heart and in my opinion seems kinda cruel.. I have tried to let him cry for a bit then go into his room let him know i was there and try to calm him down and do it all again ... and no go .. The only way he will sleep is by rocking him to sleep and/or feeding him where he falls asleep while eating. I know I need to get away from that and its sooo hard. I am starting to think that its not going to happen which is very frustrating. There must be another way to do it

Shots
So today is our appointment for Nathaniels 6 month shots and after alot of research we have decided to get him vaccinated for the H1N1. I have heard so many different arguments for and against vaccination but for me the bottom line is that there is a greater risk that he will get the flu vs anything going wrong with the vaccination. So far he has been pretty fussy and a touch of a fever but no worse then he is with other shots. My arm is tender and I have heard it gets really sore the next day I guess we will find out.

6 months old !!!
Unbelievable my son will be six months old tommorow.. Its amazing how fast its gone by sometimes I still can't believe that I am a mom.. Me a mom go figure.. I must admit though that I have fit into this role fairly nicely. Yes its challenging and new but somehow it works.
He has changed so much over the last little while.. He has now figured out not only how to roll around the room but how to get onto his hands and knees and rock back and forth. Crawling is next and so I am trying to find things to baby proof the house. I cant believe how much is involved tying curtain strings up, covering sharp corners, locking cabinets , installing gates and moving anything he could get into which involves first crawling around on your hands and knees to see what he can grab.. Lol so much to do makes me wonder where I am going to find the time to do it... Oh wait yes thats right I am super Shaunna... right.... lol and on that note I am ending this and will be back tommorow
